Miriam Pinkerton


Miriam Pinkerton’s paintings are impressionistic landscapes, florals and abstract forms of nature.  Her colors are rich and vibrant, yet there remains a sensitivity in her work.  Miriam has had a lifetime interest in the arts and work is watercolor, acrylic, collage and pastels.  Finding stimulation in exploring new materials and techniques, she has studied under such noted instructors as Don Andrews, Mary Alice Braukman, Marilyn H. Phillips, Mary T. Beam, Polly Hammett and Susan Ogilvie.

 

Ms. Pinkerton’s work has appeared in exhibitions, galleries, public and private collections. Her paintings are currently being shown at Franklin Square Gallery, Southport, NC, sunset River Marketplace, Calabash, NC, Ricky Evans Gallery, Southport, NC and Murray’s Gallery, Leland, NC. Miriam is an active member of the Associated Artists of Southport, Wilmington Art Association, Oak Island Art Guild, and the Southeastern Pastel Society. She has recently earned Signature Membership in the Southern Watercolor Society and the Watercolor Society of North Carolina.  Ms. Pinkerton’s work has been shown in dozens of exhibitions over eastern United States and she has won numerous awards for her works.
